Everything our guests ask before arrival.
How is Palazzo Berardi structured?
The Mansion is arranged over three levels. The Terrace Level houses the entrance served by the elevator, the main vintage kitchen, the library, the large living room, the dining room and the 300 m² private terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. The Mezzanine Level holds the upper bedrooms of the three Superior Suites, with views down onto the winter garden. The Winter Garden Level holds the three Superior Suites, the social areas and the winter garden with a food and drinks corner. From there, a staircase leads down to the private courtyard of the building, where the famous water clock stands.
Is the apartment entirely private?
Yes — guests have full private access to the Mansion in all its areas and levels. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom and individual A/C. The architecture has been designed to preserve the privacy of each Superior Suite.
How does check-in work? Is there a reception?
There is no reception on the premises. Check-in is by appointment — a concierge meets you in person at the agreed time. Please confirm your estimated arrival time with Maria Grazia at least 24 hours before your stay, via WhatsApp at +39 340 122 6378.
What is the bed configuration?
There are three Superior Suites: the Ceiling Fresco Suite (double bed on the noble floor + twin beds on the upper mezzanine), the Roberta Master Suite (double bed on the noble floor + twin or double bed in the mezzanine section), and the Junior Master Suite (private double bed). The configuration is flexible — choose one of two layouts before arrival: (1) three double beds and four single beds, or (2) four double beds and two single beds.
How many bathrooms are there?
3 en-suite bathrooms + 1 guest bathroom on the Terrace level.
Is the tap water drinkable?
Yes — Roman tap water is excellent and comes from the ancient aqueducts.
Is there a hairdryer?
Yes — one in every bathroom, in the top vanity drawer.
What are the quiet hours?
From 22:00 to 08:00, out of respect for the building's residents. Smoking is allowed only on the terrace.
Is there a housekeeper?
Yes. An apartment housekeeper is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00. Duties include setting the breakfast table, tidying the beds, and making sure that windows and doors are opened and closed appropriately in the morning and evening. The housekeeper has a private room on the Mezzanine level and remains entirely discreet.
Can the housekeeper prepare meals?
Yes — breakfast, lunch and supper service can be arranged for an additional fee. Please request menus from the concierge in advance.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes — each suite has its own remote for cooling and heating. 22–24 °C is the most comfortable range.
Is smoking allowed?
Not inside the apartment. Smoking is permitted on the private terrace.
Is there parking nearby?
The historic centre is a restricted-traffic zone (ZTL). The closest public garage is Parking Ludovisi; for door-to-door arrivals, please book a private transfer through Maria Grazia.
Are towels, linens and toiletries provided?
Yes — fresh towels and bed linens are included throughout your stay, and every bathroom is stocked with toiletries. Additional towels are available on request at an extra charge.
Can someone cook for us at the Palazzo?
Yes — we partner with Chef Ilaria for both a private Home Restaurant service and a hands-on Cooking Class, either in the apartment or at a nearby 16th-century noble palace. See the Services section for details and to request a booking.
Can I leave luggage at the Palazzo before check-in or after check-out?
We do not store luggage inside the apartment. The nearest dedicated luggage deposit is operated by Advena Experience — guests can book a slot directly at https://www.advenaexperience.com/luggage-storage. Please mention you are a guest of Palazzo Berardi.
